Poon Hill Trek (Around Ghorepani/Ghandruk) - 7 Days

This area, north of Pokhara, offers some of the most dramatic close-up views of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. Poon Hill, from where you'll have a wonderful view of the mid-western lined mountains, has an incredible latitudinal range, an unusual geography and a pleasant climate that make trekking here a real naturalist's dream. The return trail follows one of the most important trading routes between India and Tibet. This is also a major pilgrimage route. We'll meet traders, Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. This place is also famous for sunrise view points.

Main attraction:
Mid-hill cultural area; inhabited by Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, and Kshetri castes; one of the best views from Poon Hill; off the beaten path; unforgettable short journey; a great photographic site showing whole Annapurna, Dhaulagiri ranges; protected wilderness.

Accessibility:
Fly or drive to Pokhara, by land 7 hours, by air 30 minutes. Morning transfer to trailhead and start trek.

The Route:
Max. altitude 3200m. Poon Hill; teahouse lodges 2700m.; 5-6 hours walking per day; temperate climate jungle; easy trail.

Best season:
August thru May. Rhododendron blooms in the spring.

Facility:
Teahouse lodges managed by ACAP and well trained local villagers; best cultural teahouse accommodation; safe drinking water projects.

Itinerary:
Day- 01: Drive to trailhead Nayapul (1070m) - Tikhedhunga (1540m)
Day- 02: Tikhedhunga (1540m) - Ghorepani (2800m)
Day - 03: Ghorepani (2800m) - Tadapani (2600m)
Day- 04: Tadapani (2600m) - Ghandruk (1970m)
Day- 05: Ghandruk (1970m) - Landruk (1620m)/Tolka (1810m)
Day- 06: Landruk (1620m)/Tolka (1810m) - Dhampus (1650m)
Day- 07: Dhampus (1650m) – Phedi, drive to Pokhara

The Royal Trek - 5 Days

TThis is an easy, short trek that starts near Pokhara and offers good mountain views. Known as the Royal Trek since the visit of Prince Charles of England, it starts in Pokhara and concludes four days later with a detour back to Pokhara. The trip is ideal for those who are hard pressed for time and/or not used to high altitude exertion. It offers spectacular views of Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Machhapuchre, Lamjung, Dhulagiri and other peaks.

Camping Only.

Best season:
Year-round.

Itinerary:
Day- 01: Pokhara to Kalikasthan.
Day- 02: Kalikasthan to Syaglung.
Day - 03: Syaglung to Chisopani.
Day- 04: Chisopani to Begnas Taal.
Day- 05: Begnas Taal to Pokhara.

Siklis Discover - 7 Days

This exhilarating trek has been designed to ensure the most spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. From Pokhara we ascend a series of ridges that rise above the Modi Khola. We leave the beaten paths behind as we trek through luxurious forests to gain outstanding views of Hiunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna South (7270m). Higher up, we'll cross a series of alpine pastures finally reaching our camp beneath the huge fang face of Annapurna. Beyond this stunning backdrop, the sheer walls of Dhaulagiri rise above the depths of the Kali Gandaki Gorge. The combination of forest trail, traditional villages and superb mountain panoramas make this an incomparable trek.

Day- 01: Pokhara to Bhurjung.
Day- 02: Bhurjung to Ghalegaon.
Day - 03: Ghalegaon to Siklis.
Day- 04: Siklis rest day.
Day- 05: Siklis to Lamakhet.
Day- 06: Lamakhet to Chisopani.
Day- 07: Chosopani to Begnas Taal.
